The Cincinnati Midland Redskins defeated the Orange County Dodgers twice Thursday to win the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, N.M.

The Dodgers were undefeated going into Thursday’s final and two games were necessary because of the tournament’s double-elimination format. However, Orange County’s winning streak had no impact on Midland (Ohio) as they handily beat Orange County, 15-5, in the first game and 13-8 in the second.

In the second game, Orange County scored all of its runs in the second inning to take an early lead. But Midland came back with a five runs in the fifth, followed by six in the the fourth and two in the sixth.
