Veteran Teacher Pleads Guilty to Child Molestation Charges
A veteran Los Angeles Unified School District teacher pleaded guilty Friday to four counts of child sexual abuse and faces 14 years in prison under the terms of his plea agreement, authorities said.
Rudolphe Charles Demordaigle, 54, entered his plea at San Bernardino Superior Court in Victorville. Prosecutors said he molested two children during a field trip to the desert. Sentencing is set for Nov. 11.
Demordaigle, who worked for the district for 28 years, still faces six counts of committing lewd acts on a child in Los Angeles County. The alleged crimes took place in 1992 and 1993, prosecutors said.
School officials said Demordaigle will be dismissed as the result of his guilty plea.
