And Speaking of the Hall of Fame . . .

Since none of the members of the Hall of Fame Committee have had the guts to nominate Pete Rose, I, as a card-carrying baseball fan, do hereby nominate him to the 1998 list of candidates for election. In other words, no more hiding behind supposition and hiding behind what the late Bart Giamatti would or wouldn’t have done. Put up your evidence as to why Pete Rose shouldn’t be elected to the Hall of Fame, once and for all.
