Re “Shangri-La--for the Rich Only,” editorial, Aug. 6:

It seems like The Times is on a campaign to drag down the quality of use at our California parks so they will become places for the poor and homeless only.

I can’t understand why luxury accommodations should not be made a part of the California park system for those who enjoy luxury accommodations and can afford them. There are very few luxury accommodations available at any of the parks, and to do a small development such as Crystal Cove to add some luxury accommodations to the already existing campground seems reasonable. Please don’t forget, the rich have rights--all the rights are not just limited to the poor and underprivileged.
