JetHawks’ Victery Delivers Victory

The Lancaster JetHawks remained tied for lead in the Valley Division of the California League with a 7-4 victory Sunday over the Stockton Ports at Billy Hebert Field.

JetHawk starter Joe Victery (5-3) retired the first 13 batters he faced en route to the victory while his teammates pounded out 15 hits and scored two runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.

Jason Regan hit his 20th home run, a two-run shot in the fifth, Joe Mathis had a two-run single in the sixth and James Clifford hit his team-high 25th homer in the seventh. The JetHawks (36-21), who have won nine of their past 10 games, are still tied with High Desert after the Mavericks beat San Bernardino, 8-5.
