The “Talk to the Doctor” series consists of inexpensive single cassettes ranging from 65 to 80 minutes, each focusing on different medical problems. These are clear, concise and well-intentioned, but compromised by cheesy production values. The tinny-sounding interviews with experts on the second side of each tape were conducted over the telephone, so one hears distortion and even traffic noise in the background. “High Blood Pressure” is one of the better cassettes, as it explains not only how to reduce high blood pressure, but also why doctors make specific recommendations.
