1 Killed, 3 Wounded in Dispute Over Pool Table
A dispute over the use of a pool table at a South Gate bar escalated into a shooting that left one man dead and three others wounded Thursday morning, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
Three of four suspects were arrested after their getaway car crashed as they were being chased by a South Gate police officer. Authorities are still seeking the fourth man.
The shooting occurred shortly before 12:30 a.m. at the Salon Juarez Bar, said Deputy Henry Garza.
“During the dispute, two male patrons, accompanied by two additional men, began shooting,” Garza said.
After the shootings, the four suspects left the bar in a Cadillac, which was seen by a South Gate police officer, Garza said. The officer chased the Cadillac for a short distance before it crashed.
