Mission Hostages’ Wives to Speak

The wives of three American missionaries held hostage by Colombian guerrilla forces since 1993 will speak at three morning services Sunday at Ventura Missionary Church.

Nancy Mankins, Tania Rich and Patti Tenenoff, who are in Los Angeles to tape a “Larry King Live” television show, have been working to gain the release of their husbands, Dave Mankins, Mark Rich and Rick Tenenoff, who have been held captive since Jan. 31, 1993.

The men had been doing missionary work in Panama for the New Tribes Mission, a Protestant evangelical group, when they were taken hostage during a raid conducted by a force of 75 guerrillas.
