Pacific Christian Men Defeat Menlo, 119-107

Pacific Christian shot 55% from the field and made 40 of 46 free throws in a 119-107 victory over Menlo for seventh place in the Redlands Tournament Saturday at Redlands.

Center Steve James had 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead Pacific Christian. Menlo’s Lamont Ramsey led all scorers with 36 points.

In Borden’s Lobo Classic women’s basketball:

Baylor 94, Cal State Fullerton 70--Kristen Sigg scored 19 points and Erin Whiteside had 14 for the Titans (1-6), who were outscored, 43-25, in the first half.

In nonconference women’s basketball:

Northern Arizona 68, UC Irvine 56--Sabrina Roberson scored 18 points and Princess Hatcher had 10 for UC Irvine (3-2). Jessica LeBlanc scored 23 points for Northern Arizona (3-3).

Pepperdine 91, Southern California College 58--Jenny Frank scored 22 points and had seven rebounds for Pepperdine (5-1).

Elaine Whittemore scored 18 points and had nine rebounds for SCC. Teammates Kristi Wright and Sara Herkenhoff each scored 10 points for the Vanguards (3-3).
