Paraclete High solved Highland’s full-court press. Then the Spirits figured out the half-court trap.

Shortly thereafter, Paraclete won its own girls’ basketball tournament with a 41-22 victory over Highland in the championship game Saturday night at Paraclete.

The Spirits led by three at halftime, and thanks to increased patience with Highland’s pressure defense, outscored the Bulldogs (2-1) in the third quarter, 14-0.
