English and Irish Oasis fans didn’t seem to mind when singer Liam Gallagher couldn’t make it for two shows early in the band’s new tour due to a sore throat. Though the lead vocal duties were left to brother Noel, only 20 fans took up a refund offer for the second and third nights of a three-night stand in Dublin.

Ironically, the fans were much more restless when Liam returned for a show in Glasgow. About an hour into the set, a vodka bottle thrown by a fan struck guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs on the knee, prompting the band to walk off stage and end the show. That led to a near-riot in the audience, with the anger continuing the next day when police had to be called to the band’s hotel to control a group of fans who had assembled to demand money back for their tickets.
