Cleveland at Home on the Road, 91-66
Kent Dennis had 26 points and 10 assists for Cleveland High in a 91-66 victory over Hamilton on Tuesday in a boys’ basketball game at Hamilton.
The junior guard scored 11 points in the second quarter to help the Cavaliers (7-3) build a 46-37 halftime lead.
Brian Smith had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Cleveland.
Highland 56, Burbank 51--Wendell Bonner and Aaron Tisdale combined for 20 of Highland’s 22 fourth-quarter points at Highland.
Bonner finished with 21 points and Tisdale had 14 for the Bulldogs (2-6).
St. Francis 89, Village Christian 68--Richard Fields scored 26 points, Derek La Velle had 22 points and Shaun Scranton added 20 points, 13 rebounds and eight blocked shots for the Knights (4-1) in pool play of the St. Francis tournament.
Loyola 54, Hart 47--David Neill and Jeff Whitmore each scored 12 points and Neil grabbed nine rebounds for the Indians (5-4) at Hart.
Ryan Mollins scored 20 points for the Cubs.
Verdugo Hills 58, Maranatha 50--Kevin Baird scored 15 points, and Joe Moore had 11 points and seven assists for the Dons (3-4) in pool play at the Crescenta Valley tournament.
Poly 93, Franklin 68--Ellis Richardson scored 23 points for the Parrots in pool play of the Crescenta Valley tournament.
Crescenta Valley 93, Pilibos 59--Bill Mulvoy scored 19 points for the Falcons (4-3) in pool play of the Crescenta Valley tournament.
Faith Baptist 55, Lighthouse 45--Julio Bautista scored 13 points for the Contenders (1-4).
GIRLS
Harvard-Westlake 64, Los Angeles 45--Omelogo Udeze had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Corrie Roberts added 14 points for the Wolverines (5-1) at Los Angeles.
Brooke Porter contributed six assists, five steals and five rebounds for Harvard-Westlake.
Littlerock 49, Serrano 15--Jameka Taylor scored 13 points and Carrie Miller added 12 points for the Lobos (5-2) at Littlerock.
Campbell Hall 40, Oakwood 36--Emily Abrams scored 17 points for the Vikings (4-3) and Stephanie Glucksman had 19 for the Gorillas (3-4) in the semifinals of the Providence tournament.
Providence 44, L.A. Lutheran 21--Patty Aguirre had 11 points for the Pioneers (4-0) in a Providence tournament semifinal game.
Calabasas 53, Pacific Hills 32--Stephanie Goldman scored 11 points for the Coyotes in a first-round game of the Marlborough tournament.
