Becker was 73-3 in dual matches and reached the quarterfinals of the Southern Section individual singles tournament before falling to eventual champion Marissa Irvin. Becker will continue her tennis career at San Diego State.

KIM NGUYEN

Singles

Saddleback, Fr.

Nguyen lost only three sets in dual matches during the regular season, then went further than any county player in the postseason, when she advanced to the semifinals of the section individual singles tournament.

NINA VAUGHAN

Singles

Corona del Mar, Sr.

A four-time Times Orange County first-team selection, Vaughan, who is headed to Notre Dame, finished 62-4 in dual matches and reached the quarterfinals of the section individual singles tournament.

Mang has guided the Sea Kings to a 61-8 record the last three years. This year, Corona del Mar defeated six-time defending champion Palos Verdes Peninsula in the Division I finals to win its first title since 1989.
