Choose from two celebrations of Kwanzaa, the African American festival of the first fruit. The big event is at Los Angeles’ Leimert Park, where a four-day celebration ends Monday. Expect music ranging from blues to jazz, reggae to hip-hop; food from West African to Jamaican; children’s rides, arts and crafts and, on Saturday, a New Year’s procession. Also Kidspace Museum in Pasadena plans activities for children 5 and older.
