Detectives Seeking 3 Women on Warrants

Investigators with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department are asking for help in locating three women who are wanted on outstanding felony warrants.

Investigators are searching for Anita Anaya Banuelos, 29, who failed to turn herself in to serve time for a theft conviction.

Banuelos was convicted in April and was sentenced to 180 days at the Ventura County Jail, but failed to show up in July, officials said.

She is described as 5 feet tall, weighing 120 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She has a scar on the left side of her face.

Authorities are also looking for Kristina Kosz, 30, to face drug charges and violating the terms of her probation.

Investigators are looking for Penny Markowitz, 49, who was on probation for three previous convictions for possessing illegal drugs and has violated the terms of her probation, officials said.

Markowitz is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 112 pounds with hazel eyes and red hair. She has a rose tattooed on her left ankle.

Investigators are encouraging anyone with information on the fugitives to call Ventura County Crime Stoppers’ hotline at 385-TALK or 494-TALK.

Tipsters can call anonymously and if the information leads to an arrest and conviction, they could receive rewards of up to $1,000, officials said.
