TONIGHT’S GAME
* CAL STATE DOMINGUEZ HILLS (3-5) at CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE (3-6), 7: Northridge will try to fatten up on a second straight Division II opponent before Big Sky Conference play begins Friday. The Matadors ended a losing streak at three games last week by defeating Division II North Florida, 76-62. Senior Mike O’Quinn continues to be Northridge’s most effective player, averaging 18.5 points. Lucky Grundy, a senior point guard whose playing time has increased recently, had eight assists against North Florida. The Matadors are 2-0 at home, beating Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount. Forward Jair Fray leads Dominguez Hills with 16.4 points and 7.0 rebounds a game. Guard Calvin Patterson, a transfer from L.A. City College, averages 10.7 points. The Toros have won three of five since opening with three losses.
