Air-Conditioning

I hope that the members of the L.A. Unified School District board investigate the proposal for air-conditioning work immediately (July 8). Any improprieties should be eliminated; however, it is unfortunate for the students to have had to suffer with uncomfortable heat. Students are sent home on hot days. My son needs every day at school he can get. It is especially unfortunate for Valley students, as it is much hotter there.

My son commented two weeks ago that the school he attends, Chatsworth High, would be getting air-conditioning. He was smiling, describing how much more comfortable the classrooms would be. Hopefully, he won’t have to come to the realization that politics often get in the way of progress.
