Vigilante update--Sean Drinkwater, who started July hitting .178, is up to .250. He went eight for 17, including three home runs, on the just completed four-game homestand. Left fielder Alan Burke is batting a team-high .360 and has 12 home runs and 51 runs batted in. He needs two home runs and four RBIs to surpass his totals of last season. Right fielder Sam Taylor, who is hitting .327 with 11 home runs and 36 RBIs, is the only other starter over .300. The Vigilantes are 20-29 overall; 5-18 on the road.
Bandit update--Right fielder Mark Charbonett is the team’s top hitter. He batted .365 (72 for 197) in the first 48 games. He also leads the team in home runs with nine. The Bandits started the season with two players from Orange County--Marty Neff and Kevin Schula--but both have been released. Bend is 20-29 overall.
