Clearing Up the Facts

For his article “Stranger Than Truth! Hey, You Could Look It Up,” Lew Sichelman apparently looked up some of his facts in the wrong place.

The Winchester Mystery House was built by Sarah Winchester, but she was not married to Oliver Winchester (my great-great- great-grandfather); she was married to his son, William.

Also, our family genealogy states that Oliver died in December of 1880 (not 1886) and William died two months after his father.
