Forum to Focus on Community Safety
Making neighborhoods safer is the focus of a summit involving local leaders in religion, law enforcement and government to be held Tuesday in Ventura.
Sponsored by the Ventura Interfaith Ministerial Assn., Safer Neighborhoods ’97 will be a public discussion on how to reduce crime and make homes, businesses and schools safer.
Featured speakers will include Ralph Morales of the Hayward Interfaith Council. Youth group representatives from Los Angeles and Orange counties will be included in a round-table discussion, along with education, business and local government representatives.
The meeting will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Ventura Towne House Vista Room, 4900 Telegraph Road.
Tickets, which include lunch or dinner, are $15 for adults and $8 for youths.
