“Alleys and Motorways,” a home video documenting the history of Bush from the band’s first-ever gig in 1992 through last summer’s Reading Festival, will be released Nov. 18. Metallica’s James Hetfield, Marilyn Manson and No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani (who’s been linked to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale) all appear in cameo spots. . . .

Chrissie Hynde, Iggy Pop, Aimee Mann and the Propellerheads are among the featured performers on “Shaken and Stirred,” an album of rock, pop and techno stars doing songs from James Bond movies. The project was overseen by film composer David Arnold (who also did the score for the upcoming Bond film, “Tomorrow Never Dies”) and will be released in the U.S. on Nov. 25 by Sire Records. Hynde sings the Paul McCartney-penned “Live and Let Die.” . . .

With a two-CD “Live at Red Rocks 8-15-95” album just out to supplant a widely distributed bootleg from the same show, the Dave Matthews Band is about to start work on its next studio album with producer Steve Lillywhite, due in April. . . .

Korn has started a label, which has been signed to a distribution deal through Reprise Records by the firm’s new A&R; head, David Kahne. The first release for the still-unnamed label, which will be run by the band (which will continue to record for Epic Records) and its manager, Jeff Kwatinetz, will be from fellow Orange County rockers Orgy, who are soon to start recording. . . .

Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore has started a new Sire-distributed label with writer Byron Coley. Called K/Ey Records, the company will focus on various forms of avant-garde music, as well as reissuing “lost” albums from jazz, folk, contemporary classical and electronic artists.
