Mary Star 35, Bell-Jeff 12--Playing without their top three players, who were suspended for disciplinary reasons, the visiting Stars (7-1, 5-0) still had little difficulty with the Guards (2-6, 2-3) at Burroughs High.

Trailing, 20-6, at the half, Bell-Jeff used 10 minutes on a 21-play, 65-yard drive that ended with David Barsumyan’s one-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter.

But Mary Star responded with touchdown drives on its next two possessions, scoring on a 32-yard run by Maurice Jadah and a five-yard run by Damien Ornelas.
