Game Will Decide Conference Title
Cypress and Orange Coast, which have had no trouble scoring goals--except against each other--meet in a key Orange Empire Conference women’s soccer game Friday at Cal State Fullerton. The conference title goes to the winner.
Cypress (17-1-2, 9-0-1) is coming off a 6-0 victory over Riverside Friday and has a bye today. Cypress has scored 117 goals and given up four this season.
Orange Coast (15-2-3, 9-0-1) beat Santa Ana, 6-0, Friday and hosts Riverside at 3 p.m. today. The Pirates have scored 61 goals and given up 12 this season.
The teams played to a 0-0 tie Oct. 14 at OCC.

Women’s volleyball: Saddleback, which already has lost to Golden West, the top-ranked team in the state, three times this season, gets a fourth chance Wednesday in an Orange Empire Conference match.
Golden West (16-0, 8-0) has beaten Saddleback once in a conference match and twice in the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions. The Rustlers have won nine of 10 games in the three matches. Saddleback is 12-3, 7-1.

Football poll: Fullerton, which is ranked ninth in the Southland Football Poll plays at Saddleback (4-3, 2-1) at 1 p.m. Saturday in a key Mission Conference Central Division game.
Fullerton (5-2, 3-0) is tied for first with No. 10 Santa Ana (4-3, 3-0), which is hosting Orange Coast (0-7, 0-3) at 1 p.m. Santa Ana then plays Fullerton Nov. 15 in the 75th meeting between the teams. The game is at 1 p.m. at Cal State Fullerton.
In the rest of this week’s poll: Bakersfield (7-0) is No. 1 and Mt. San Antonio (8-0) is second. El Camino (5-2) is third, Long Beach (7-1) is fourth, San Bernardino Valley (6-1) fifth, Cerritos (6-2) sixth, Los Angeles Valley (5-2) seventh and Hancock is eighth.
