Burbank Hires Coach
Sean Martinez, 30, a former pitching coach for the Antelope Valley Ravens, has been hired as baseball coach at Burbank High.
Cathy Cameron has been hired as Oak Park High’s girls’ basketball coach, replacing Keith Case, who resigned recently to become coach at Notre Dame.
Cameron, 34, coached the Oak Park junior varsity during the 1995-96 season and has coached in the Agoura Youth Basketball Assn. for the past six years.

Weekend results: The Cal State Northridge women’s soccer team lost to Montana, 1-0, Sunday in a Big Sky Conference match at Northridge.
Montana (13-5, 5-0 in conference play) is the Big Sky’s regular-season champion. Northridge (2-16, 1-4) is 14-40-4 in three years of Division I.
Federico Arroyo scored twice, including the winner with 10 minutes to play, to lift the Northridge men’s team to a 3-2 victory over The Master’s Saturday in a nonconference game at North Campus Stadium.
CROSS-COUNTRY
Honor for Neipp: Andrea Neipp, who is redshirting in her freshman cross-country season at Brigham Young because of a hip injury, has been selected to Track & Field News magazine’s 1997 high school All-American team.
Neipp placed third in the 3,200 meters in the 1997 state championships for Highland High.
With personal bests of 4:50.65 in the 1,600, 9:28.25 in the 3,000 and 10:19.55 in the 3,200, Neipp ranks eighth, third and sixth on the all-time region performer lists.
