Pairings for the Southern Section playoffs will be announced Monday. The wild-card round will be Tuesday and the first round Nov. 13 for Division I teams and Nov. 14 for divisions II and VI. All games will start at 3:15 p.m.
The Pacific Coast League championship comes down to today’s 3:15 p.m. matchup between No. 6 Costa Mesa and No. 7 Laguna Beach at Newport Harbor High. Last year, Laguna Beach upset Costa Mesa for the league title.
On Friday, No. 3 Newport Harbor meets No. 4 Capistrano Valley in a nonleague game at 4 p.m. at Saddleback College.
