Chapman Teams Get NCAA Berths
The Chapman men’s soccer and women’s volleyball teams received berths for the NCAA Division III playoffs, which begin this week.
The men’s soccer team will play Colorado College in the first round of the West Regional Wednesday in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Chapman (13-5-1) defeated Colorado College (12-6) in the second game of the season, 1-0, Aug. 31. Colorado College is ranked 23rd in the nation, Chapman is unranked.
Thursday, the women’s volleyball team will play Cal Lutheran in the first round of the West Regional, hosted by top-seeded UC San Diego.
If third-seeded Chapman wins Thursday, it will play second-seeded La Verne Friday. The regional final is Saturday.

The Pacific Christian men’s soccer team, ranked fifth in the National Christian College Athletic Assn., will play Northwest College (Kirkland, Wash.) in the West Regional final at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cal State Fullerton.
Pacific Christian (15-5) defeated Christian Heritage, 7-1, in the first round.
