Woman Dies After She’s Hit at Call Box

IRVINE —
A 20-year-old Laguna Niguel woman has died of injuries suffered when a car hit her at a call box on the San Joaquin Hills tollway, authorities said.
Daniela Sacca was standing on the roadside between the toll plaza and Newport Coast Drive on Monday when she was hit. She died at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Western Medical Center--Santa Ana, authorities said.
The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
