Next month’s John R. Wooden Classic will be the featured topic at a luncheon Tuesday at the Pond.

Featured speakers will be former UCLA basketball players Cameron Dollar and Jamaal Wilkes, former Ram Mike Lansford and Mater Dei boys’ basketball Coach Gary McKnight.

The Wooden Classic, Dec. 6 at the Pond, is a college basketball doubleheader featuring UCLA vs. New Mexico at 2:30 p.m. and Stanford vs. Georgia at noon.

Lansford is the organizer of a celebrity game affiliated with the classic on Dec. 4. McKnight’s Monarchs will play Encino Crespi as part of the classic’s high-school tripleheader, also on Dec. 4.

The luncheon, which begins at 11:30 a.m., is open to the public and costs $20 ($15 for members of the Orange County Sports Hall of Fame, Anaheim Chamber of Commerce and Pond suite holders).
