Balboa Island Assn. Walking Tour to Aid Beautification
NEWPORT BEACH — The Balboa Island Improvement Assn.’s first walking tour of the island will be Dec. 7.
The tour is to include visits to 11 island homes and gardens. A Christmas boutique also will be set up at the Beek Center on Agate Avenue near the Balboa Island Ferry.
Money raised from the walking tour will benefit the association’s beautification committee, which in recent years has bought and installed teak benches and potted plants along the perimeter of the island.
The homes and the boutique will be open from 1 to 7 p.m.
Tickets, $15, are available at Martha’s Book Store, Persimmon Tree and Even Sisters, all on Marine Avenue, and at Park’s Place, 504 S. Bay Front.
Information: (714) 673-6639.
