DUKE VOLLEYBALL
* County connection: Jami Ediger of La Habra and Kristen Campbell of Corona del Mar.
* Worth noting: Ediger is a second-year starter at middle blocker for Duke (15-15). She leads the team in hitting percentage. Campbell, a starting setter, on Sunday became the first Duke player with more than 5,000 assists. She has 1,346 this season to give her 5,025 for her career.
RICE VOLLEYBALL
* County connection: Carolyn Sarnecki of Sunny Hills.
* Worth noting: A four-year starter for Rice (6-25), she holds team records for assists in a match and in a season, both set in 1995. She’s also among career leaders in several other categories.
UC SAN DIEGO WOMEN’S SOCCER
* County connection: Kate Larsen of Tustin.
* Worth noting: UCSD, the two-time defending Division III national champions, defeated Mary Washington, 2-1, Sunday in Fredricksburg, Va., in the quarterfinals. UCSD is 18-2.
