Clorox Selects Treasurer as New CFO

Clorox Co. said Treasurer Karen Rose has been named chief financial officer effective Dec. 1, replacing William Ausfahl, who is retiring. Rose, 49, has been vice president-treasurer at the maker of Clorox bleach and other household products for the last five years. She joined the company in 1978 as a financial analyst. Scott House, 36, will succeed Rose as vice president-treasurer. He is currently the director of the finance-international division. Ausfahl, 57, joined Oakland-based Clorox in 1982 and has been group vice president and chief financial officer since January 1983. He has also been a member of the company’s board of directors since 1984, a position he will also give up Dec. 1. Ausfahl will retire Feb. 1. Shares of Clorox rose 81 cents to close at $77.38 on the NYSE.
