SPOKANE, Wash. — Rex Prescott and Mike McKenzie combined for 231 yards rushing and four touchdowns in Eastern Washington’s 40-10 victory over Northwestern State in a first-round game of the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs Saturday.
The Eagles (11-1), Big Sky Conference champions, will face Western Kentucky, which beat Eastern Kentucky, 42-14, in the quarterfinals next Saturday at Joe Albi Stadium in Spokane.
Prescott gained 102 yards in 18 carries, scoring on runs of one and 41 yards. McKenzie had 129 yards in 16 carries, including scoring runs of one and seven yards.
