The Return of Martin Guerre (Bravo Monday at 8 and 11 p.m.) Gerard Depardieu stars in this popular 1982 film, set in medieval France, as a man who returns to his wife (Nathalie Baye) after an absence of some years. Tous les Matins du Monde (Bravo Tuesday at 12:30 and 9 p.m.; Wednesday at 8 a.m.) Centered on an imaginary friendship between two 17th-Century composers, Marin Marais and M. de Sainte Colombe, this 1991 French film is a beautiful, sensual period piece. It’s full of fine music, and it’s a big, juicy star vehicle for Gerard Depardieu (who shares the role of Marais with his son Guillaume), Jean-Pierre Marielle (as Colombe) and Anne Brochet (as Colombe’s daughter Madeleine). Director Alain Corneau and writer Pascal Quignard turn the lives of these people into a fable.
