Moon to Remain a Starter
Warren Moon, the oldest player in the league at 40, will remain the starting quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks even after former starter John Friesz returns from a broken right thumb, Coach Dennis Erickson said.
“We’re going to go with what’s been going well for us,” Erickson said.
Friesz may be ready to play by the end of the month.

Buffalo Bill defensive end Bruce Smith is uncertain whether he will be able to finish the season because of aching knees. Smith has been advised by Dr. Richard Steadman to have surgery to remove bone spurs and repair cartilage in both knees. He had surgeries on both knees earlier in his career.

The winless Indianapolis Colts don’t have a quarterback controversy.
“Emphatically, Jimmy Harbaugh will start at quarterback,” Colt Coach Lindy Infante said.
Harbaugh, who took the Colts within one play of the Super Bowl two years ago, was replaced by Paul Justin for the second half of Sunday’s 16-12 loss to the New York Jets.
Harbaugh is directing an offense that is 29th among the NFL’s 30 teams, and his quarterback rating of 70.2 is the second lowest in the AFC.
