Spotlight: Disney to Turn Off the Lights on Latest Parade
Disneyland’s Light Magic show, the much-hyped and much-maligned parade, will go on hiatus for two years to be retooled and to make way for a new night-time parade next summer, park officials said. The $20-million dud, which debuted in May to poor reviews and initial patron criticism, will be replaced by a new event based on an animated feature film that Walt Disney Co. will release next summer. Light Magic replaced the long-running Main Street Electrical Parade.
