Town Car Jockey Gripes Right Back

In response to the “Urban Gripe” article on Oct. 19, which suggests that drivers who park oversize cars in compact-only spaces be put to death, I think it would be lovely if we did the same to all drivers of compact cars who park their Miatas, Geos and Escorts in full-size parking spaces.

I would be very happy to park my Lincoln Town Car in full-sized spaces were they not already filled with compact cars whose drivers clearly can’t read, aren’t bright enough to understand the concept, don’t drive well enough to maneuver into small spaces, or simply like to have enough room to get in and out of their vehicle without messing up their paint work.

Might I also suggest that the people who passed the law that allowed for differentially sized parking spaces be sentenced to driving a 1965 Chevrolet Impala for the rest of their lives and be required to park it in compact spaces only?
