NEWPORT BEACH —
Wienerschnitzel plans to open a restaurant in Mexico, marking the hot dog chain’s first expansion outside the United States.
The company said Tuesday it also plans three restaurants in the U.S. territory of Guam, with the first scheduled to open in December. The restaurant in Juarez, Mexico, is scheduled to open in mid-January.
Wienerschnitzel sells 60 million hot dogs a year through 281 outlets in 10 states.
