The Orange County Performing Arts Center has named a marketing director, Todd Bentjen, the last post to be filled in the center’s reorganized management team. Bentjen will report to Greg Patterson, vice president for communications and marketing.

“He is to look at the longer view as we develop more integrated marketing strategies,” Patterson said, “to be much more competitive and more scientific.” Patterson cited Todd’s technical expertise in multifaceted marketing campaigns and knowledge of the regional market.

Pepperdine alumnus Bentjen, 33, was marketing director for Opera Pacific from 1989 and has been a center consultant since June. He worked at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, UC Irvine and a national service organization for opera companies.
