Marshall 34, Kennedy 27--Kirk Cooper rushed for 314 yards and four touchdowns in only 15 carries to lead the Barristers (1-1) to a come-from-behind victory at Marshall.

With the scored tied and less than one minute to play, a 54-yard run by Cooper gave the Barristers a first down on the Kennedy one-yard line. Reserve quarterback Juan Barrera scored the game-winning touchdown on a one-yard run with 28 seconds remaining.

Kennedy (1-1) had one last gasp, but Ray Rodriguez’s desperation pass was intercepted by Carlos Ceja at the Marshall 10 as time expired.

Kennedy’s Paul Jones ran for 192 yards and two touchdowns in 31 carries.
