L.A Baptist 38, Mojave 3--Peter Dirksen completed 15 of 20 passes for 321 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Knights (1-1) at Alemany High.
Tim Feirfeil had four catches for 118 yards, including touchdown receptions of 45 and 55 yards in the second quarter. Steven Long had six catches for 127 yards, including a 61-yard touchdown.
The Knights scored on their first two drives, going 80 and 76 yards. Phil Johnson ended the first drive with a one-yard touchdown run and Feirfeil finished the second drive with his first scoring reception.
Johnson, a linebacker, had 11 tackles for the L.A. Baptist defense, which allowed only three second-half first downs.
