* Update--Hasegawa had a perfect game through three innings in his last start, against Minnesota Tuesday night, before giving up three runs in the fifth and two in the sixth of a 9-3 loss. If Manager Terry Collins can get six solid innings out of the reliever-turned-starter, he’ll be glad to turn the game over to the bullpen. Tony Phillips homered in the third inning, walked twice and scored three runs for the Angels Saturday night, Garret Anderson and Dave Hollins, who were both slumping in early August, extended their hitting streaks to nine games, and Jim Edmonds had two hits, giving him 11 hits in his last 22 at-bats.
