A man who pulled a Ryder truck into the driveway of a Westchester home Tuesday and told the occupants that there was a bomb inside the vehicle faces felony charges of making a false bomb threat, authorities said Wednesday.

Police said Claudio B. Joppert of Los Angeles pulled into the driveway of a home in the 6100 block of W. 75th Place at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and told residents that there was a bomb in the truck, said Los Angeles Police Officer Rosa Torres. She said Joppert, 42, did not know the residents.

Joppert and a man who lived in the home had an altercation, and Joppert fled the scene on foot, leaving the truck behind. He was arrested hours later at Daniel Freeman Marina Hospital in Marina del Rey, where he was being treated for injuries from the fight.
