Blake to Head O.C. Habitat for Humanity
Ronald Dean Blake has been named executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Orange County.
Blake joined Habitat’s Orange County affiliate June 30, after serving as executive director of the California Assn. of Food Banks and director of Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
Blake was in senior management with Southern California Edison for 33 years.
Habitat for Humanity is an “ecumenical housing ministry” that uses non-government donations and volunteer service to build simple homes, which are sold to qualified working families at no profit, through no-interest loans, according to the group.
Habitat for Humanity of Orange County has built 71 homes in Anaheim, Brea, Irvine, Rancho Santa Margarita and Santa and is building homes in Irvine and Huntington Beach.
