Blue Line

Re “Vote Backs New Agency for Rail Line,” Aug. 21: It’s about time someone has vision for the future of L.A. transportation. As most Angelenos know, more and better buses are not going to solve our transportation problem. I am so glad that a separate authority may be set up for the completion of the Blue Line to Pasadena. Like a child on Christmas morning assembling a train set, all the parts to the Pasadena Blue line are there.

Let’s just hope that the new authority lives up to its commitment and keeps the price for completion down by not building costly tunnels through Old Town Pasadena that were originally planned.
