HMO Reform
Re “Tough HMO Reform Appears Dead in State,” Aug. 21:
Soon the state Legislature adjourns for the year, and once more we’re left at the mercy of the HMO monster, with solid reforms still not worked out. At my job, if important work is not completed by day’s end, we stay and finish it. I think the Legislature should do the same. Those of us under the HMO thumb can’t wait until January. And by the way, people who refuse to complete their work don’t keep their jobs very long, either.
