Woman Killed After Sport Vehicles Crash
A Laguna Niguel woman was killed Tuesday morning when her Nissan Pathfinder collided with another sport utility vehicle in a Fountain Valley intersection, police said.
Quyen Nguyen, 25, drove her Pathfinder into the intersection at Ellis Avenue and Magnolia Street at the “same instant” as Mina Mehrdady, 46, driving a Jeep Cherokee, said Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Kevin McKeown.
Nguyen was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange after the 9:55 a.m. crash, officials said, and she died about 2 1/2 hours later.
Mehrdady was in stable condition Tuesday night at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, officials said.
