Vigilantes Beat Pacific, 8-3

The Vigilantes defeated Pacific, 8-3, in a Western Baseball League game Tuesday at Oxnard College.

Pacific’s Rafael Ozuna hit a home run off former teammate Tim Davidson in the first inning. Davidson is 3-0 with Mission Viejo since being traded Aug. 8.

The Vigilantes (44-39) gained some ground Tuesday in the race for a playoff berth. Sonoma County (46-37) lost to Chico, 4-1. The Suns fell to 26-56.

The Vigilantes (44-39) continue their four-game series with the Suns tonight. Pacific visits Mission Viejo for two games Saturday and Sunday.
