Flower Power
Vanessa Taylor buries her nose in them: a rainbow of fragrant, fresh flora. Then the flower girl, who runs her own flower stand in Leimert Park, comes up for air.
“Flowers transcend everything,” she says, standing inside the Los Angeles Flower Districton Wall Street on a recent Saturday morning.
Here, the early bird gets the bird of paradise--and at a blooming bargain from the more than 50 vendors pushing their radiant petals.
“I’d like to think that all the angels and fairies are in here with the flowers, getting their strength to make wishes come true,” Taylor says.
Talk about flower power.
