SANTA ANA
An Arizona man arrested in connection with the slaying of two Santa Ana roommates Sept. 25 will be arraigned today at the Orange County Courthouse, officials said Friday.
Police allege that Jamie Christian Creech, 25, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., shot and killed Stephanie Larkin, 30, and Derek Mattingly, 28, in their North Grand Avenue apartment in March.
Police said Creech was living in Orange County at the time of the double homicide and later fled to Arizona.
Based on information from family and friends, police tracked Creech to Arizona. He was extradited to Orange County on Friday and booked into Santa Ana Jail on two counts of homicide.
