The Planning Commission will review a proposal today to develop the site of the old Santiago Canyon Tennis and Swim Club.
Property owner George Klimek wants to divide the six-acre property near Santiago Canyon Road and Jamestown Way into five lots, each at least one acre, for his personal use. Klimek said he would build a main house of 38,500 square feet, two guest houses and two caretaker buildings.
He has also proposed building recreation trails, complete with paving and railings, along the western and northern edges of the property. The new path would connect two existing trails.
The commission’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. in City Hall, 300 E.
